K.I.D.S (Kids in Dayhomes Services) ProgramThe K.I.D.S (Kids in Dayhomes Services) Program is designed to support day home caregivers and parents in providing the best possible environment for children to grow and develop. In a three way partnership, Closer To Home Community Services, the WestCentral CRC and Shaganappi Family Day Home Agency will work together to strengthen the regulated and non-regulated homes specifically in COS 4. These services will specifically target children age 0-6 who are receiving care from paid caregivers and who require additional supports in the home. A major thrust of the service will be in identifying the non-regulated homes in the community who are not currently receiving any support or monitoring of the children under their care. The children in these homes are potentially more vulnerable and at risk as these homes do not come under any licensing or supervision body. Through outreach and relationship building, the KIDS program will seek to engage these caregivers and the families they serve to provide support, parent training and increase the safety and health of the children The Airdrie Teaching HomeEmphasis on family preservation and reunification through delivering the least intrusive and restrictive services possible to children and families in a family style community home.
